The Final Three For Free Friday

Over the past few months we have written 18 Three For Free Friday’s and we think it’s now time to discontinue the series. This is mainly due to our new Facebook page which notifies you of free iPhone games every day. It’s a quicker way for you to find out about free games, and allows us to post a few daily. So in this final article we feature Comet Racer, Flaboo! and Quizarium.

Comet Racer

We have featured many games from Donut Games and that’s because they are perfect for the iPhone. Comet Racer is a simple racing game where you speed through wild tracks throughout the universe. There are 25 levels, each of which set you up against the clock to finish as quickly as possible. The tracks range from squiggly mazes to open circuits and are all packed with power ups, boosts and secret passages. The video below shows off this exhilarating gameplay:

We’ve had a lot of fun with Comet Racer, so we recommend you check this casual racing game out! We are not certain how long it will be free for so pick it up as soon as possible.

Flaboo!

To the untrained eye Flaboo! just looks like a Doodle Jump clone, but it’s got some striking differences that really alter the gameplay. You can still tilt your device to move the character side to side, but in order to bounce off clouds you need to touch the screen just as the chick lands on them. This can be confusing at first, but it soon becomes second-nature. The main aim is to get as high as you can and you aren’t penalised for falling, the real danger here is if you run out of time. You have to get to each checkpoint before the clock shows zero, otherwise it’s game over. Watch the video below for a snippet of the gameplay:

On your way up into the sky you can collect keys which unlock power ups. Rockets, coffee and balloons are just a few of the special items you can use. You’ll also encounter grey, bubble and goo clouds which are designed to slow you down, so watch out for them! Flaboo! is free for today only so make sure you grab it quick!

Quizarium

Quizarium is a new online quiz game from the makers of Charadium (the online Pictionary game). It requires you to sign up to Plus+ to use, but it’s certainly worth your while. You go up against people from all over the world to test your knowledge in ten different categories. The game runs in a chatroom style; a question is posed and everyone posts their answers until either someone gets it right, or the timer runs out.

Even if you don’t know a lot of the answers you’ll still have fun with Quizarium, and you’ll be learning facts the whole time. We’re unsure how long it will be free for, but we recommend you download it soon.
