Often the most simple things turn out to be the best; Super Search 60 has an instantly likable charm that’s doled out in quick fire sixty second rounds and is nigh impossible to put down. You’ll be itching for another go, especially with the social connectivity via Facebook.

It looks like a match three game but instead it’s all about finding one or more objects hidden amongst a grid of random but easily recognisable things. Like burgers, eggs, sausages, bottles, bottle caps, teddy bears, elephants, dice, jigsaw pieces, top hats, pliers, paper clips, clovers, road signs and koalas amongst many more objects. Some of them come in different colours and they may also be rotated to make them harder to distinguish. If you’re stuck and can’t find the item, the game will prompt you to its location if you simply wait for a few seconds. You’re awarded more points based on how fast you find items so you don’t want to rely on this trick too much.

As you clear items from the board the objects cascade down like a match three game with new items dropping in from the top. It’s a clever trick that makes sure that the playing field is constantly shifting so you can’t simply remember the positions of everything for long. But no matter how well or poor you did, the round only lasts for sixty seconds unlike most timed games that award you extra time for playing the game well. This provides you with a great incentive to keep on playing; make sure you keep an eye on the time or you could lose hours to it!

We’re highly impressed with Super Search 60. The stylised comic visuals give the game a fun vibe; the only complaint we have is that the local high scoring is not robust enough and we’d love to have a local high score board for when getting online isn’t possible, instead of the game simply remembering your top score. However we can still recommend this game as an incredibly simple yet devious time waster. Excuse us, we have some cassette tapes to hunt down.

Grade: B, Great

The sixty second time slot is perfect for mobile gaming. It’s a game that’s incredibly simple yet will erode your time away as you challenge your friends to top your best score.

Perhaps not as addictive as its predecessors; but Little Things is in all a neat twist on the hidden object genre.

Charming doodled graphics are mostly what has changed from its predecessor; but for free we can highly recommend this one.
